I grew up in Philadelphia but have spent time on five continents since leaving home. I most recently moved to Raleigh, NC and have lived in Brazil, Cape Verde, Spain, India, Cuba and Venezuela, as well as several US cities. I love meeting all kinds of travelers from all over. I definitely prefer folks who like to discuss serious topics but also have a sense of humor. Mine is sometimes witty, sometimes self-deprecating, and sometimes downright childish. PHILOSOPHY: Life is a couch. It won't always be comfortable... but it's generally better than the floor.

I ran with the bulls in Pamplona... saw the Caribbean night sky from atop Cuba's tallest mountain... took a train across India... bused across the Senegambian border… and road-tripped through most of the continental United States. I swam among the giant sand dunes in Lencois Maranhenses national park and among the sea turtles off the Cape Verdean island of Sao Vicente... hiked across a glacier in the Argentine Patagonia... partied at Brazilian Carnivals in Salvador, Rio de Janeiro, Ouro Preto and Sao Paulo... zigzagged across China and SE Asia... and spent a Halloween touring Dracula’s castle in Romania.
