About Me

CURRENT MISSION

traveling, writing, exploring

ABOUT ME

I've been traveling America off and on the last 4 years to research a book about the revitalization of major U.S cities, and will continue the next few years. This will land me temporarily in about 40 different cities. And of course, I'm looking for a good time along the way! In addition to ciites, I love natural areas, and restaurants, and fun events. Basketball is the closest thing I have to a religion, and I follow it with a devotion that's almost a little creepy. But I love meeting new people, and engaging inthe constant flow of ideas...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In each new city I'm in, I'll be welcoming with open arms any fellow surfers in my area who want to crash!

Interests

I like reading and writing and music and sports and etc, etc, etc. But really, nothing beats tightening the shoelaces, and taking a walk through a city, weaving from neighborhood to neighborhood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ah, where can I even start?

I've taken five cross-country trips by now, and I think just the diversity of the nation is awe-inspiring in itself. One second you can be in an immigrant neighborhood in L.A. or Brooklyn that makes you feel like your in a different country. The next you can see rattle snakes in the desert. And then you can be in downtown Chicago, gawking at the architecture. But my personal stories behind these destinations and others are too long to do justice here...
