Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am now living in Orange County temporarily - Ladera Ranch 92694

I love to travel. One of my German roommates told me about Couchsurfing, & voila!

Interests

I live in San Diego CA in an area called Pacific Beach, so I"m close to the ocean and bay. I really love to bodysurf. I have a swim school, so just love to be in the water. I enjoy sailing & have many friends with boats in the San Diego area.
I like really good movies - from comedies to drama to action to period pieces.

I do take pleasure in meeting people from all over the world. My other job is working with the U.S. government escorting Foreign VIP's around the U.S., & have met many interesting people. I like to rent out my room to International college students, and have had Germans, Italians, Brazilians, French, Lithuanians, Dutch, British & more.

I speak French, so it's always fun to converse with others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went bodysurfing one Thanksgiving before the "feast." There was one surfer & myself in N. Pacific Beach. The surfer caught a wave -- I took the next one. As I looked to my side, there were 5 dolphins 20 yards from me catching the same wave! I could not believe it. When I got towards the beach the surfer yelled out "Did you see that?!" Yes I did...

The first time I saw the Grand Canyon - we were tired from driving, the sun was beginning to set - the lighting was incredible. When I saw it, I was so awestruck by its immensity & beauty, tears came to my eyes.
