About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To become a member of the proud nation of Vanuatu since some Macedonians (FYRM, no, North Macedonia :)) ) consider themselves to be Egyptians...
ABOUT ME
oh well, this is the part where I have to talk about myself, eh?:
So, I am a German with a Persian background, roots in Azerbajcan and ancestry from Russia. I am among the fortunate people who enjoyed their studies and work in the respective field. I find world politics fascinating, but no worries, only the really interesting stuff :P. I have a bit of an affinity towards poetry ( guess that is the Persian part).
I have the firm belief in unity in diversity, meaning that common humanity is not only a real phenomenon, it is furthermore strengthened by the great diversity of our lives, cultures and mentalities. Besides it is proven that: Mix Makes Beauty :-)
I am a MA graduate of international relations and international security (Germany, Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey). I did a BA in comparative religious studies and law in Germany and spend some time in various countries.
Currently I work in Germany as a security analyst and advisor. I also worked as a security analyst in Afghanistan and as a policy officer for NATO HQ in Belgium.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
After returning home to Germany from working abroad, I finally set up my new place and am happy to welcome you guys.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed one couch in Berlin and in Madrid and it was just splendid. I took over hosting for some crazed, fun and super nice people in Freiburg. My latest couchsurfing experiences were in Seattle, WA and in Fresno, California with outstanding hosts, proving again: It doesn't matter where you are but who you're with that determines a great experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
A bunch! But for all who understand German I truly recommend the movie "Stapelfahrer Klaus". Also, if you wanna see excellent acting in a serious and well made movie, watch "Sunset Limited" with Samuel L. Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones.
I feel attracted to subject matter books on world politics. For those who are interested in these topics, I can recommend Olivier Roy (1994): The Failure of Political Islam and (2001) Globalized Islam. Both books offer a very interesting and challenging view on how groups promoting an Islamic theocracy developed, why they failed and what happened afterwards.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being made fun of by children on the streets of Kabul in Afghanistan because of my Iranian accent. Priceless to hear their laughs - well, priceless to hear any child's laugh :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
I remember one step dance that I learnt some 10 years ago :)) I am pretty fortunate with languages and pronouncing the most difficult sounds, so I can either help you or you can try me with your native language :D. If you like, I show you how to operate a drone.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am not very experienced with Frankfurt. It is not my heart's-desire-city but I am happy to help you navigate it. I offer you bbq and nice dinners and a relaxing time together. I work quite a lot, but I am happy to have a drink with you after work. Plus, visitors usually know more about the host's cities :-)
