I'm an aspiring writer (so in other words, a waiter), interested in stepping outside my comfort zone a little and and doing some traveling.

I haven't done much traveling in my life (especially compared to some of the experienced travelers I see on here), but in the future I'd like to change that. Even if I don't end up crashing on someone's couch, or hosting someone myself, this seems like a great community of people with a lot to offer.
