Overview
About Me
I am a friendly, talkative student studying in Prague and travelling around Europe on weekends. I am quick to laugh, easy going, and as polite as any stereotypical Canadian should be. Yes, I say "sorry" often.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really enjoy meeting new people from all over and looking for authentic experiences in other cities instead of just the beaten tourist path (though I'll do that too). I know I could show people a Vancouver they wouldn't find on their own, so I believe others could do the same for me in their city.
Interests
Nature is Canada's playground so I love to go hiking, running, skiing, or play soccer. I pretend I can play tennis, and the real reason I like to golf is just to hang out with my friends and laugh at how bad we play. I love sharing a few beers (or more) and chatting about the different places people have travelled and learning where I would love to go. I am always keen to swap travel stories. I find it interesting to learn about the little different tendencies in day to day life found in each country.
I enjoy staying up to date with the news and talking about global discussions. I like to learn different national perspectives on current issues.
Above all else, I'd always prefer to be on a hot sandy beach with a good book and a few cold beers.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Rock, electronic, reggae, rap, country. No particular preference on genre, I just like good music of any genre. Live music is the best music. If I have a few drinks, I love to sing along.

Books recently:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One thing that comes to mind is canyoning in Da Lat, Vietnam with three old friends and two new ones. Repelling down through 25m waterfalls and jumping off 12m cliffs was an amazing experience I won't forget, and was just one day in a five month long trip through South East Asia.
