Overview
About Me
I'm a (slightly) nerdy Belgian guy who studies computer science abroad. I play videogames, tinker with electronics a lot, love technology and can go on for an hour about how a transmission works.
I adore learning and will happily listen to someone explain how beer is made (or really anything) for two hours, but don't worry I won't bore you out of your mind unless you ask for it!
One of my favourite ways to relax is to run or swim a lot, it gets me to focus on what's going on in my head and I get all my best ideas that way. It allows me to eat HUGE amounts of food without repercussions, so watch your fridges if I'm around after a run ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Thanks to my love for food I've learned how to cook, I make a mean pasta crème broccoli amongst other dishes.
My fondest memories where all had when around friends and meeting new people, sometimes I can be a little shy or make very (very) lame dad jokes but this won't keep me from trying to make new friends
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have a very limited budget (although I can repay you with hours of talking) and enjoy being around new people, I love the sharing mentality and believe in giving and taking (I participated in the scouts and loved this part of their philosophy)

Music, Movies, and Books
As well as enjoying sci-fi movies and a variety of books (although with uni my reading has greatly decreased, I definitely didn't like reading "computer systems and networking volume two") I also enjoy video games
I'm not the biggest movie "fan" as I won't go mad over a new episode or movie, and I definitely prefer the more personal feel of a YouTube video. Ask me about my favourite YouTubers and I can talk for hours
When reading I like to let my mind wander, hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy is probably what made me want to discover more and explore
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Donated a year of my time to educate young (12-16) people for free on basic computer science, electronics and problem solving
Teach, Learn, Share
I guess if you're curious what a computer scientist does I can give you a tour, I can help in French and share the basics of DIYing and tinkering as well as maybe some vegetarian cooking
I can fix nearly anything but please give me a heads up if you need something beforehand!
