I am currently teaching Mathematics in Mexico, MO, USA. I am originally from London, UK and spent 7 years in the Royal Navy as an Officer before moving to the USA.

When I was 18 I worked at a Summer Camp in Minnesota, and probably had one of the best summers of my life.

I am very friendly, and basically enjoy stumbling through life and seeing what comes up.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The fact that I am on here probably shows that I also enjoy travelling, however, I am new to this site after a friend suggested it.

I look forward to meeting many new people via the couch surfing site, and as soon as I can, I will endeavor to offer my couch when I get set up in a house.

I usually stay at Hostels, which is also a good way to meet people, however, I am always looking to try new experiences, and this will hopefully give me a chance to do just that.

Interests

I am a keen skydiver, but also enjoy many other outdoor activities such as skiing, scuba diving, luging, kayaking and hiking. (Luging and Scuba Diving I haven't done for a while). I also enjoy Chess and playing cards for the stay at home days.

For some reason though, I also love watching movies, and very much enjoy going to the Cinema.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching all sort of movies, but if I had to put a genre on it, it would have to be Sci-Fi, Fantasy (i.e. Lord of the Rings etc.) and Action. I do love the Marvel films.

Books - anything by Dean Koontz or David Gemmel.

Music - Queen is my favourite band, with Freddie Mercury being my favourite singer. That aside, I am very much into the old stuff, folk (particularly Irish) and country. I have a fondness for Elvis and Johnny Cash also.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have represented Great Britain at the European Skydiving Championships and won a Gold Medal.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Mathematics, Chess and kayaking. I travel by myself or with other people, and I enjoy doing both just as much. I don't just travel with a certain type or friend, I travel with whoever wants to join me when I go.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If anyone needs a Maths tutor, then by all means use and abuse me.

Aside from this, I can share a down-to-Earth outgoing personality and a good time.
