About Me
Recently finished hiking 300 miles of the Appalachian trail in May 2017, and now travelling across the States from June through to the end of July (not hosting in London until after that). New to Couchsurfing!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Keen to see new places and meet new people whilst I'm doing it! Currently looking to Couchsurf where possible in my two-month odyssey across America, June - July 2017.
Interests
...well, they're not well captured by the bland categories below! I tend to have some form of interest/curiosity/intrigue in most things (definitively excluding motor vehicles and the Eagles). And in terms of my visit to the States, I'm interested in finding out all I can about what makes America great (already)...
- running
- live music
- hiking
- sports
- philosophy
- playing music
- international development
Music, Movies, and Books
Huge fan of music e.g. Bob Dylan, Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, The Velvet Underground, David Bowie... And books! e.g. Slaughterhouse Five, The Third Policeman, Siddartha... And film! e.g. The Big Lebowski, Withnail & I, Paris/Texas, Monty Python...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Erm... I did a two week trek in the Himalayas last year, a route called the 'Three Passes' trek. Got great views of Mt Everest. Definitely amazing to see and do!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm fairly knowledgeable about philosophy (I studied ethics). And sports. And music/film/arts. And I also play piano and a little guitar. So perhaps could offer a quick 'lesson' (or at least a conversation!) on one of these...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I guess it could include... Conversation! Food! Reciprocal offer to stay in the UK!
