About Me

CURRENT MISSION

find an adventure

ABOUT ME

I've surfed in Spain, Morocco, France, Poland and Austria!

I've sent enough requests to know how boring and repetitive it can be, so I hope my profile will at least cheer you up you tired, hungry and lonely traveller!

I'm an Economics and Politics student in Trinity, I've been a tour guide in Munich and Dublin so I know all about the city and (theoretically) am very good at telling Dublin's stories!

I'm planning to spend a year in Argentina learning Spanish after I graduate and then do a Masters in Economics in Berlin.

I'm involved in "The Phil" in Trintiy so if you're interested in seeing some top class debates or seeing what it's like to go to college here I'll definitely be able to accomodate that!

I've sent out mass requests, but only when I was desperate, and didn't really expect a reply. If you do the same then don't really except a reply!

PHILOSOPHY

Bad decisions make good stories!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been saved way too many times by the kindness and shocking friendliness of strangers all over Europe! So I participate by sponging off peoples generosity and trust, now I want to participate by letting people sponge off my trust! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I shared a sticky fake leather fold out couch with a girl I definitely didn't know well enough to sleep that close to. It was Morocco, it was hot and there were way too many mosquitos buzzing around my ear to sleep properly.*

That was the worst CS experince I've had, and I look back on it with a smile on my face. My Couchsurfing experience? It's ranged from 'character building' to (alcohol) 'tolerance building' and everything between.

*I promise this won't happen to you in my house.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

I have never found an adequate answer to any of these questions. Trying to combine sufficient coolness and originality, with popularity while balancing modern greats with classics is something I've never achieved.

So instead I'll just write I like listening to music, but generally takes me a while to get into new stuff.

Books: I heard this once.
'Don't fuck people who don't read!'

In fairness it's a great rule of thumb!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked on Omaha beach. A profound and eerie place.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have improved my cooking skills enormously since I started surfing. If you can cook and if you can teach me you will definitely be more welcome!

I can teach you how to cook a Beef and Guinness stew (which has become the stuff of legend amongst the Madrid CS community!)

If you are interested in Irish history, especially anything over the last 200 years (including the recent crisis etc) I'll talk for hours about that.

Share: stories I suppose- that's what travellers do isn't it? Well there's not much better in the world than sharing stories over pints of Guinness in a pub in Dublin.
