I enjoy learning about different cultures and meeting different people. By meeting people you share experiences and both grow richer for the experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted around 30 people so far. Great hearing about other peoples experiences and being able to share mine.

Interests

I travel frequently, am interested in what is happening internationally and locally. If I had sufficient money I would like to travel through every country in the world. I am particularly keen on sport, the gym, and international affairs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking through Thailand, Cambodia and Laos by myself in the 1990's before the advent of widespread internet usage. Being in villages and towns where no one spoke English and you never knew what was going to happen next :)

Teach, Learn, Share

People from different cultures with a wide range of beliefs, customs and traditions fascinate me. We have so much to learn from each other. I teach New Zealand History and Tourism and Travel at a High School. Hopefully I can inform people about areas of historical interest to do with New Zealand and places to see and visit.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A couch and a single bed to sleep on in a warm large lounge with a TV and desk. . Cooking and washing facilities , FREE wifi internet, usual features that a house has.
