I'm 29 now living in Burlington, Vermont and starting a masters/phd program in applied economics and natural resources this year. My big interest is in banking and financial reform that aims towards ecological resilience and stability - I'm really interested in the New Economy movement, transition towns, farming, permaculture, and all that good stuff!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have loved people who I have met through couch surfing. I am not as active as I was when I was travelling, but I've almost always had positive experiences with surfers and I love keeping the dream alive.
While in Buenos Aires I used Couchsurfing extensively for finding partners to do language exchanges and for social and cultural activities.
I enjoy traveling and spending time with anyone who is willing and open enough to share experience.
My two roomates are gone this week and I want to host travellers!

Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly listen to hip-hop when I'm in the car. On books, I'm a huge fan of non-fiction. Recently I've been reading more about the economy and the nature of money (where it comes from and who creates it - it blows my mind).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived with 6 women in a rural area of Nicaragua for a short period while in college.
