About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet interesting people and leave this world a friendlier place than when I got here.
ABOUT ME
I'm a fun loving guy who is a husband to a fantastic southern gal and a father of 2 amazing recent college graduates. If it's wild and crazy, I'm in! My motto has always been "Just Do It", but recently it's been shifting to "Should I Have Done That?" I'm reminded that I don't bounce back like I used to, but I'm still game for anything fun!
PHILOSOPHY
I believe we're here on this Earth for more than just a free ride around the sun. I personally believe that we were created in God's image, but don't worry -- no sermons here. I have been truly blessed and would love to give back. Hosting travelers and making new friends seems like a great way to give back and pay it forward.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have been hosts now for over 10 years, and have hosted over 100 surfers, from solo surfers to a group of 11 students. I have been blessed with a great family, an amazing career, and I believe in helping others and giving back. I got into couchsurfing when my daughter informed us she was going to couchsurf across Europe in 2013. I checked it out and fell in love with the concept!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have hosted a quite a few surfers and have had all positive experiences. We're not really surfers ourselves, but we love meeting new people and helping out where we can. While in Ireland we put out many requests to surf with locals and was accepted by one couple in Galway -- from Germany! You just never know...
Interests
I love doing anything outdoors... I ski on a monoski, I mountain bike, love riding my street and dirt motorcycles through the mountains, I fly a small plane, love to camp and fish... the list goes on. No matter the weather in Colorado, I have a sport or activity that can take advantage of this beautiful state. I also love retreating to the man cave for a good movie with homemade popcorn. I'm very outgoing and love sharing life's experiences with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Waking Ned Divine, The Secret Life of Walter Middy, Top Gun, almost any action/sci-fi flick.
Music: Sooooo varied, but today's artists can't beat the old school guitar licks of Boston, Kansas, Rush, Journey, Joe Satriani...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've hiked 14-ers and jumped out of planes, but probably the most amazing thing I've done is raise 2 awesome kids into productive adults who actually still want to spend time with me. All other things pale in comparison.
