ABOUT ME

We have been traveling for a little more than a year as I write this. I spent over 12 years working in Corporate America and the last five of it plotting and scheming how to make this big trip a reality. The politics of it all was trying at times but I can't complain to much, it gave me the resources to take this big journey and for that I am grateful.
Back at home I have friends and family that I miss but know they are always there. I am passionate about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and the friends I have made through it. It is the second greatest love of my life next to my little traveler experiencing this dream with me.
What else? I am depressed by the news but hopeful for the future of my country with our new leader. I hate mindless TV but love movies. I love reading, writing, and photography. I love exercise and staying healthy both of which are a challenge on the road.
One day I will return to the unreal world of working for a living but for now I'm thankful where I am in life.

PHILOSOPHY

I guess I'm supposed to write something earth shaking and profound here, but I'm coming up empty.

I guess I just like to keep life simple and happy--which is harder and more complicated than it seems at times.

I have heard so many good experiences from other couch surfers I look forward to giving it a try. Strangely, I'm even more excited to host other surfers in our home once this trip has ended. I love showing people the places and things I am excited about.
