Some surfing. Some hosting. Unfortunately, there are no couchsurfing events in this particular corner of the world.

Travel (bet you weren't expecting that!), backpacking, sailing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, the arts, creating the built environment, older european cars and bikes and a bunch of other stuff.

Music and Movies - widely varied.
Books - a few titles include:
A Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovitch, Walden's Pond, A Sand County Almanac, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, The Riddle of the Sands, Tent Dwellers and so forth.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A two week, west coast motorcycle trip with my father (who I'd only met the year before), sailing the coast of Malta, Scootering the Amalfi Coast with Italian zeal, living on a boat in Paris, diving on the Great Barrier Reef, building my own house.
