I want to learn about the world I live in from the people who can tell me best!
My name is Jordan. Tennessee born and raised. Grew up in Knoxville and I attended a small, private University on the other end of the state in Henderson. I studied Media Arts at the university and also have a minor in English. Despite my southern roots, I have no accent to show for it.
I enjoy traveling and seeing the world. I have traveled to a few countries in Europe and have traveled throughout Peru and Colombia, in addition to travel within the states. The summer of 2010 sent me to Mongolia where I was involved in a TV Journalism Internship. Back at the University I had a gig as a morning radio DJ. Since then I have taken on some restaurant jobs and currently work for a company that runs small cruising vessels. Therefore, I now live on the go. I recently returned from a winter aboard in Hawaii and will soon depart for another summer season in Southeast Alaska.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm here to make friends from all around. I've found through meeting many people who have grown up under differing circumstances then myself that friendship is not limited to a person's boarders. I hope to learn more about our world through the eyes and ears of those who have a different perspective then I do. Also to set up connections around the globe.
Traveling, kyaking, hiking, filming, script writing, photography, and television.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Paragliding off a cliff over the Pacific Ocean in Lima, Peru.
Seeing Machu Picchu.
Watching a World Cup game with a nomadic family in Mongolia in the middle of nowhere.
Kayaking through Alaskan kelp beds with curious sea otters.
Night snorkeling with Manta Rays in Hawaii.
Any mountain I have ever climbed.
