ABOUT ME

a recent graduate of the College of Charleston and now working for my alma mater as a recruiter. Since starting, my travel territory has been mostly the Deep South and New Jersey hitting high schools and college fairs spreading the "good word" about CofC. But now I'm headed out West in my own form of a manifest destiny. Being a recruiter has nothing to do with my undergraduate degrees in business administration and hospitality & tourism management but I enjoy it to the nth degree.

The City of Charleston is my home and I love everything about it. Every day I find more little idiosyncrasies that make this city so great.

So excited to have people from all over the world stay here in Charleston!

My roommate and I are looking to host people from all over. We want to share Charleston with anyone and everyone.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All good things. It's great to meet so many different people from all walks. Very enlightening.

Interests

I love the Southern culture and find it fascinating. The food, people, nature, style, everything makes it so unique. I love travel for that reason- being able to experience other cultures is a thrill. To see how others live and how their life expereicnes shaped them- simply, awesome.

Also love to travel. I don't really get the opportunity except with my job. But I get to go to some awesome places.

Writing is big for me as well. Have been published under some pen names but nothing too big. I use it as more of an outlet than anything. Some have told me that I write like Pat Conroy, and to me, there's no better compliment.

Music, Movies, and Books

any old R&B- and by that I mean, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, Aretha, Marvin, Barry, Stylistics, Spinners, etc.
favorite band of all time is Guster.

I read all the time, especially when I'm on the road. There are a number of classics that I have yet to read and use travel as a time to catch up on them- right now, that's Catch-22.
favorite author of all time is Pat Conroy. Beach Music is pure genius.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My amazing things are always spur of the moment decisions that are meaningless, but then end up meaning the world. Hitting golfballs off my roof into the horizon, deciding at two in the morning it's a good idea to go to a desolate island to watch the sunrise, surprising friends six hours away at a restaurant on a trip I said I couldn't go on. Life is what amazes me.
