About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, become a bestselling novelist, don't take myself too seriously

ABOUT ME

I live in the bustling neighborhood of Queen Anne with my boyfriend Dave and my pug Snuffy. More than anything in the world, I love books, travel, and the great outdoors. To pay the bills, I'm a writer, editor, writing teacher and blogger. I'm the author of the novel BreakupBabe, which is a comedy about getting dumped, dating, and blogging. I'm also a travel journalist. I blog at http://houseofsparkle.blogspot.com and www.RebeccaAgiewich.com.

PHILOSOPHY

Adventure=Life

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In 2009, I had my first experience with couchsurfing, when I had three amazing hosts in Finland. Since then I enjoyed an all-too-brief period as a host in Seattle before I moved into a one-bedroom condo that I share with my dog and boyfriend, and that is, alas, a tad too small for hosting. So now I meet visiting couchsurfers to show them around, take them to cool bars or restaurants -- or just give advice about Seattle as needed.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In the spring of 2009, had a great experience surfing several couches in Finland. I also did some hosting later that year in Seattle before moving into a place that is a little too small for hosting. I really believe in the Couch Surfing project though, as it opened my eyes to a whole new way of seeing the world!
