Sobre mí

on a political world cycling tour to fight against borders. militarised borders allow some people (me, dutch passport) to go anywhere, but stop other people (syrians, iraqi’s, afghans with weak passports) from seeing the world. that’s f***ed! i’m fundraising to fight this (€16000 now), and learning about the world along the way. @sebbiebikes on instagram <3.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

cycling around the world I want to hop off my bike, stop, and connect to
people and culture. The danger of bike touring is that you go too fast. That you don’t stop enough in the places you visit. So, I want to stop often, for multiple days, and connect with you! (or just be hosted if that’s what your into). There’s so much to learn about the world!

Música, películas y libros

i’m taking this prompt very literally. so let’s talk books. okay, here’s my favourite non-fiction and fiction books:
- non-fic: ‘Braiding Sweetgrass’ was mega affirming. in the book, Kimmerer explores how humans can relate to nature in so many different, regenerative and wholistic ways, how humans have capacity to be beautiful creatures that help the natural environment instead of plunder it. a mix of her Indigenous knowledge with ‘western’ ways of understanding the world
- fiction: probably The Dispossessed, by Ursula K. LeGuin. she’s an anarchist fiction writer who writes so freely and imaginatively. in this utopian novel she conjures up an imperfect society based on solidarity and cooperation (anarchism). so hopeful and thought-provoking.
