About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to see the world and write about my travels
ABOUT ME
Hey, Seb here. I'm a 20-year-old guy who has for the past nineteen months backpacked around Southeast Asia, lived and worked in Australia and to cap it all off, trekked the breath-taking landscape of New Zealand! I mainly identify as English and have lived here for most of my life, but I was born in the USA, so if you meet me and notice that my accent is all over the place, that's why :P
Right now I'm wanting to see more of this little island I've come to call home and meet some of the quirky and unique individuals that populate it; that's you!
PHILOSOPHY
Experience, though infinite and easily gained, has value above anything else
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't actually hosted anyone yet, but with travelling I've built a pretty extensive network of friends from all areas of the world. From the example I have found from the people who have hosted me, I will fully intend to open my living space to more travelers, wherever that may be and whenever I finally settle!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed in a lovely apartment in Singapore with the absolute BEST view of Marina Bay, and my host had lots of alcohol that he was apt to share.
In Perth I was hosted by a guy who was also hosting up to eight other travelers, which was really fun and we found a sleeping area for everyone. It became a little bit of a hippy house.
In Melbourne I stayed with the most generous couple I've stayed with, who had an adorable kitten that I enjoyed having the odd cuddle with, and after them I stayed with some students on winter break who took me and another surfer on a road trip across the Great Ocean Road in their old banger.
All in all, it's been amazing and I love doing it!

I love movies, so if you get me talking about them, I may never stop. I love movies of all kinds besides schlock horror because that just makes me feel sick, but I know about more movies than I've actually seen. I'm a bit of a film nerd truth be told.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Left home at 18 and went travelling. Thought that was pretty amazing.
I've also been one of the first people in the world to see the first sun of a new day (aka I've been in the easternmost part of the world and watched the sunrise)
I also did a bungee jump into a canyon from a 134m height.
Okay that's actually three things...
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning new skills that can help me later in life, but even if it doesn't, I'd love to learn it!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm quite a chilled out, relaxed person in general, but I'm enthusiastic about spontaneous happenings and will happily go along with whatever is going on. I also have quite a few stories I can tell, ranging from feel-good to outright bizarre!
