Hi! My name is Sebastiaan, I'm a young South African with a passion for adventures and new experiences!

My favourite thing about travelling (other than the actual travelling) is the interesting people you meet along the way. Big fan of cultural exchange and just genuine interaction I guess!

I'm travelling in the UK a bit this year, studied until the middle of the year before realising my degree wasn't for me, so I'll commence my studies next year. But in the meantime I'm out and about over here!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I lived in Europe briefly for a couple of years when I was younger, and left with a longing to return as well as an interest in EVERYTHING European; cities, nature and culture! I spent the last 5 years in the South African school system, but decided to skip university this year in exchange for a "more hands-on" learning opportunity.

I decided to just take a leap, and now I'm in Europe! I've been working in rural England and France for the past 7 months, but now it's time to move on to new things!

I enjoy pretty much anything as long as it's good and easy to get into. Not a fan of serials though haha

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fixing an old farm in France! It took about 2 months, but we got the farm back into shape, and its looking great!

Equally as amazing is the walking and wildcamping along the West Highland Way in Scotland!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a lot of knowledge about SA if my hosts want a window into the exciting, diverse and unique history of my country or its cultures. My ear is also always open and I would love to get to know my hosts and chat about all sorts of things. I can help with some chores the house, but am also quite low maintenance, so don't need a lot of attention if you're busy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've traveled and lived a fair amount of places and know South Africa pretty well, people always seem interested in the latter.

I would love to exchange interesting stories with my hosts!
