About Me

35 year old single real estate investor and padeltrainer living in Spain since 4 years. Lived in Spain before 2 years earlier. Also lived 5 months in Bali practicing yoga. I always traveled the world minimum 6-7 weeks per year during holidays. Normally backpacked 1 month outside Europe in the winter and then 2-3 weeks in Europe during the summer.

I feel like 25 years old because my life is more or less the same as then, except for the big thing that I shifted focus. Before, my travels was a lot about beach and party. I did it a lot for about 15 years. But now I am focusing on new things in life, self improvement, health and mindfulness.

I have so far never been interested in the traditional way of living with family, kids, house, mortgage, pets and many responsibilities. Most of my friends lives like that and I have never really understood why they all choose that way of living. At the same time I am really impressed by what they do, because they don't have much "me-time" anymore. My friends say its probably because I have not yet met a person I would like to share this things with, maybe they are right, but on the other hand more then 50% of them are separated and are now living in "bonus-families". I see myself as a late bloomer in this area, even though I kissed a lot of girls I have not yet met my princess. Maybe I do, maybe I don't.

I don't drink or party anymore. I stopped smoking also. I am trying to be as healthy as I can. In periods I am vegetarian and/or gluten-free. I like to change and experiment with my diet. In the daytime I train a lot, running, yoga and padeltennis, which I am also teaching others. In the evenings I am mostly home watching, reading and relaxing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have never tried Couchsurfing before, but I am now open to try it. Because it feels like the best way to get in contact with local people directly. And to get to know the country and culture very fast, also feels like it can be a way to travel on a budget, which I like because I see myself as a minimalist and the only thing I spend money on is food, because I don't like to cook.

I would like to travel the world for a while, mostly Asian countries and with no return ticket.
And see what interesting people I can meet, maybe I can meet one of my soulmates... and find a new place to settle down for a while or forever. I live life as it comes. I like adventures and every 2-3 years I feel like trying something new. And now its soon been 2 years since my last adventure in Bali.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all music except for heavy metal/rock.
I have seen thousands of movies, its been my biggest hobby in life, so don't have any favorite. I like many different actors and genres, except for action movies. As for sitcoms I like Seinfeld, Modern Family, That '70s show and more. I love to laugh and half of all the Standup Comedies shows on Netflix are very good, the other half is not my kind of humor. I don't read much books, unless its books like "The Happiness Trap" by Russ Harris, which I read last year.

On youtube I follow people/groups like: Sadghuru, TJOP, Be Inspired, PsycheTruth, The School of Life,
Video Advice, MusicTalentNow, YouAreCreators, Prince Ea, TEDx Talks, Jay Shetty & Sean Buranahiran.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My goal in life was to be self employed and decide what to do and when I do it.
It took me 33 years, so never give up!
I always followed my own path and stood up to the social stigmas around me.
I have not yet started a family and settled down only because society/norms/parents/friends believe this is the only way to live a life. I believe there is more to it then that.
I see myself as modern nomad so far, and I settle when I am ready, if that is something that I ment to do in this lifetime. This soul is not down here on Earth to do exactly what everybody else is doing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I travel light and I don't need a lot of things or a big house to be happy. But I do need the Sun, the Sun is God for me, without it I can't survive, thats the first reason why I left Sweden.
I own what I use and don't spend any money on fashion, interior design or material things. I rather save the money I earn and only work 4 months per year as self-employed. I can't understand why people work so hard only to buy stuff, If you consume less you can work less and spend more time doing what you like, and that will make you happier and a nicer person.
Once I bought a house for myself, as an investment. When I lived in it I quickly understood that I only used two rooms, living room and bathroom, so why would I need any more?

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would like to share some laughs, experience in travel and/or business.

How we see the world in the western countries especially Europe.
