Originally from Chicago, I recently finished a two-year teaching fellowship in southern China -- and I'm now in Bangkok. I love teaching and learning. I went to Yale, but I decided to follow a more untraditional path down international education. I love talking about anything, though I particularly love topics around science, culture, and politics. More than anything, I love hearing about people's own interests and their life stories. I am also an outdoor adventurer at heart and am always looking for some way to get back into nature.

Books: I read broadly, but my favorite is non-fiction about social sciences and languages. My favorite author/person might be Andrew Solomon (he has some good TED talks too!)

Music: In English, I really like hip-hop. Love listening to non-English music as well, particularly Latin American music (Natalia Lafourcade is my fave). Always down to give and take recs

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went skydiving with my mom, not because I wanted to (I reaaally didn't) but because she requested I join her. She was terrified of it but it was a dream of hers. I knew it was a now-or-never moment, and it turned out to be amazing even though I strongly dislike flying...

I also danced traditional Mexican folkloric dance in a troupe for a few years.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A coffee/bottle of wine and good conversation. Not a great cook (especially after my three years in Asia where eating out is cheap haha) but would be happy to whip something up.
