San Diego has many good hostels and a few bad ones. Between Lyft, Uber, bike, trolley and bus you can get around without a car.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you're going to be in san diego for more then a few days buy a used bicycle, the bike lanes and paths are getting more numerous every month.
you can get a bike for a day for about $25 from my vendors.
Day passes for the trolley (light rail/ small train) and bus system cost about $5.
Mexico is a 30+ minute trolley ride south of downtown. You'll need a passport even if walking across the border for an hour. You can walk to downtown Tijuana from the border.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Thailand
