About Me
First of all, I am happy to be a human being. I am happy to be able to acknowledge it!
I like stories. I like music. I like food, languages, and culture.
I like interesting thoughts and I like interesting sensations.
I like connecting to the communities around me, and I like figuring out what each environment brings to me and what I bring to it in exchange.
I like meditating and I like pushing the limits of what I think is possible.
I like all things magic, from reading about it in stories all the way to living it through mystical experiences like constellations and all manners of soul-searching.
I like being inspired and I like inspiring others.
I like teaching and I like learning.
I like this planet and the people on it.
I realize this says a lot about what I like and not about who I am... But aren't we defined by the things that we devote our time and attention to?
I am everything that I said and all that's left to read between the lines. :)
I AM. And I love it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There's no better way to see and place for what it really has to offer than doing so at the side of a local. I know a lot of interesting nooks and crannies in the places I've lived in, and I show them to anyone who comes visit--so I'd quite like to see yours, future Couchsurfing host! All of the experiences that I live are going into a travelling journal that will be read by my children, and hopefully their children after that, and I'd like to keep those experiences coming and piling up in my good memories.
Interests
During the last few years I have come to enjoy
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Folk and pop are my favourites (seeing that it's what I normally play to earn my bread and butter), but my taste is very eclectic, ranging from classical music to jazz to some Mexican folklore stuff of the kind that no one really likes but they still know the lyrics to.
Movies: Interstellar, Indiana Jones, The Silence of the Lambs, Whiplash, Once.
Series: Breaking Bad, Scrubs, House, Vikings, Supernatural.
Books: Jules Verne's work. The Name of the Wind, by Patrick Rothfuss.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once pretended to be Irish for a week and a half to impress a girl that I really liked and I somehow succeeded. The accent stuck after that.
I swam in the freezing ocean waters in Exmouth, England, for Christmas Day. I was wearing nothing but my trunks and a beanie. I then discovered that Mexicans can actually handle cold temperatures without bitching and moaning... For about thirty seconds.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am also a teacher of Spanish and French, so I can definitely help with that. I can teach you the intriguing ways of Latino social mingling and I can show you how to cook delicious Mexican recipes.
I can absolutely teach you how to play the guitar or the tin whistle, which are the instruments that I carry with me. Let's have some good musical craic. :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my culture, my language, and everything that I could teach you. I can share stories with you and I can lend an attentive ear to yours.
Aside from that (and on a more useful note), I can cook for the nights that I stay with you, I can help clean the place, I can help you with your homework. If there's something that you need that I could give you a hand with, I'm up for it.
