About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm about to plan my second road trip. This time in Andalusia, Spain. It's been a while since my first road trip (USA, 2014), so I can't wait for August to come!

ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Sebastian and I live in Erding, Germany (pretty near to Munich).
After my A-Levels in May 2014 I decided to do a month-long road trip through the US. It definitely was one of the best times in my life and since that I'm infected by the travel bug! I simly love travelling and I want to see all these different places of the world, meet nice people, experience different cultures and try to figure out what I expect from life. Unfortunately since I started University I haven't really had time for a longer journey, but could visit amazing cities in Europe in shorter trips. Nonethelesse it's time for a road trip again!

As I believe there has to be more than just running from school to college to job, I really want to make the most out of my life.

I'd say I'm an open-minded, talkative and laid-back person who likes to be with people. I enjoy life and having a good laugh.

PHILOSOPHY

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

The Buried Life! ("What do you want to do before you die?")

“Once the travel bug bites there is no known antidote, and I know that I shall be happily infected until the end of my life”
― Michael Palin

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I heard about couchsurfing in school the first time and immediately had been enthusiastic about it.
During my road trip through the US in 2014 I used couchsurfing.org a lot and it made my journey unforgettable. I met unbelievably nice folks and we had so many good times together. Without couchsurfing that trip wouldn't have been half as good.

Interests

I love to hang out with friends - whether it's a nice barbecue or a party.
I enjoy listening to music, running or reading a good book.
Besides I am obsessed with the English language, therefore I almost only read books in English and like watching movies in their original versions. Actually I'm interested in languages in general, right now I want to improve my Spanish a lot.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite Movie: "The perks of being a wallflower", but I like movies in general

Books: John Green ("Looking for Alaska", "The fault in our stars", etc.), Stephen Chbosky

Music: a lot! Bastille, Imagine Dragons, Linkin Park, Rudimental, Milky Chance and so many more! (no matter what genre, as long as it's good music)

Life couldn't be without good music!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've worked hard to earn enough money for my first car - an old VW Golf III and I simply love it! As long as its engine keeps running nothing will ever separate me and my AdventureMuchacho!

Teach, Learn, Share

I had played the guitar for a few years, but sadly stopped some years ago. I'd like to start it again. Another big point on my bucket list is to learn playing the piano ;)
I'm keen on languages and I'd like to share my knowledge (German, Spanish, English).

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany
