- If you want to go hiking, from train station you can go to Bedous (an old railway has been repaired recently and it's beautiful) : http://pratique.tourisme64.com/itineraire/bedous.html

- If you want to see the sea, Basque country or to Surf (Biarritz, Bayonne or Hossegor), the cheaper solution is the bus (Flixbus). If the bus is not available there is the train.

More simply you can stay on Pau. I would tell you where to find good restaurants with local dishes (Garbure, Magret de canard), local alcohols (Beer Brasserie Béarnaise, White wine Jurançon) and bars where to party.

I always lived in France, in the south west. I live in Billere near to Pau. It's near from Atlantic sea, Pyrenees moutains and Spanish border.
I never really traveled. I made 2 quick trips in Cuba and Scotland.
I'm starting to be interested by travels and others cultures.
