About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Take risks, be bold, and learn from mistakes...they're more precious than successes. And above all, to laugh.

ABOUT ME

Hello there,

I'm a Canadian, German-Jamaican-mixed student studying theatre in Montreal, Canada. I play the piano, write, read scripts, and produce theatre in Toronto and Montreal. I've done a fair amount of traveling in my life, but I always hunger for a new place, new people, and change.
I feel the most free when I'm dancing.

I spent new years in a massive crowd of people in central park (NY) with no-one I knew, and it felt sublime and perfect. I really enjoy being alone, and have a real love for people I don't know.
That said, my friends are very important to me.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't believe that there is an inherent divine purpose or meaning in life. For me, this is a completely freeing idea, one which puts me at ease. I believe that I alone can invest life with purpose and meaning by living it myself. As opposed to stressing out while trying to follow a set of rules which will ensure my successful passing on into the afterlife, I can live positively according to the lessons I learn in present life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think that I can spread stories, knowledge, and skills to the CS project, and help to maintain a welcoming community that's open and positive.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time using couch surfing. It comes very highly recommended, and I'm excited to meet such a caring and engaging community of people. I look forward to adding to the experience of others using couchsurfing.

Interests

Collaboration on art projects, multidisciplinary creation (a dancer, an actor, and a musician get together and make something), international politics and current events, the video-game industry, producing music, playing the piano, building Canada's theatre community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen 500,000 Salvadorans celebrating the victory of the socialist FMLN party in their 2008 Presidential Election.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a bit about what I know about acting--a lot of it can help you feel more comfortable in your own skin, as well as learning to project, breathe, and inhabit a space.
I speak english very well, and as such, would be very happy to help anyone with diction, enunciation, and pronunciation, as well as editing any text that's already been written in English.
I can teach what I know of the piano too.
