ABOUT ME

Having realised that the University course I was studying was not what I wanted the travelling began.
I have spent a large amount of time in New Zealand (3 winter seasons) and mainland Europe (3 winter seasons France and Switzerland) The travelling bug really set in. I have spent the last 2 years living in Banff, Canada where I worked in a high end retail store while learning and progressing my love for mountain sports. Alpine, sport and trad climbing in the summer and concentrating on splitboard mountaineering and ice climbing in the winter months.
Out going, easy to get on with and adventurous character in search of the next beautiful place to call home for a while.

PHILOSOPHY

I have been inspired by a lot of well written quotes but it usually comes down to making the most out of every day. Never taking life to seriously and being open to new experiences.

I value my time spent in the mountains, hiking, climbing and snowboarding have brought me a great deal of happiness in the last few years and I feel very lucky to have experienced all that I have.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Very new to couch surfing. Hoping to meet like minded people, local contacts and of course climbing and snowboarding partners.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Amazing 2 months of couch surfing around New Zealand. Met some incredible people who I am still in contact with today. It was all organised on a friends account so no previous history online.

Interests

rock climbing - all sorts sport, alpine, ice, trad
snowboarding and more specifically splitboarding - couloir shredding gets me rather excited.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snowboarding all over the world. Certain days in Canada have probably been the most rewarding. Working hard to ascent a mountain to enjoy perfect powder snow of the way down.
Using good judgement, skills learnt and trust in your partner to have a safe day.
