ABOUT ME

Way down in the bottom of my profile are hosting references. AND, some of my references have disappeared. Also , I have been active in other ways in the community with planned activities.

i am passionate about bringing a sense of harmony to my life and the lives of others. every life has purpose and destiny. i want to make sure that my own is fulfilled and i believe that is attached to my everday touch with people. i want to know what others know and pass it along. we can learn from the good stuff as well as the less tasty tidbits of life.

PHILOSOPHY

i really believe that if i could get the nations together at my kitchen table for just three hours we would have world peace. if you doubt me you have not had my banana pudding or peach cobbler. nobody fights after eating my food unless its to get more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i think i was born with a duffle bag in my hand, and i am quite sure there was an extra mat in it for sharing.
i tend to anne franke my way around life, believing in the intrinsic goodness of people. i believe the universe will take care of me and i have seldom been proven wrong.

兴趣

i love to dance...really. contra, international, folk, latin, african, and with that i love music it really does soothe my soul. i enjoy cooking and eating so that dance thing really comes in handy weight wise. i like to dumpster dive and fix up things. natural healing is also of great interest for me. i love more but you will just have to meet me to find out.

on my ipod now is the bulgarian national anthem, bhangra, bonjovi, angela bofill, bon iver, english beat and everything in between.
i just read the kite runner and the gift of fear. i love the classics though.
one of the best movies i ever saw was "nasty girl" and persepolis. there is very little talking in movies with subtitles

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

i ran a homeless shelter for several years. young parents, children themselves actually came to the shelter broken and in despair. they were parenting and parentless, they were homeless and hopeless. within a year many of these teens managed to change the tea leaves of their lives. with support they rewrote their own futures and that of their next generations.

every person carries an object lesson in his back pocket. the secret is to have him feel safe enough to share it with me. i learn on many levels i teach from my heart.
