ABOUT ME

my name is Seema. I was born in Louisiana, and then went to the University of Alabama. While being born and raised in the south, my family is from India, which makes my life a series of ridiculous but fun situations. this year, I am living in Santander, Cantabria for what will surely an unpredictable but undeniably wonderful experience.

PHILOSOPHY

travelling is a passion of mine, and i hope it's always an integral part of my life.

i also think everyone has a story. i love learning about other peoples stories, their dreams, their passions, and what inspires them. thats my inspiration.

but mainly, i laugh a lot and spend a lot of time doing so.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I lived in Granada, Spain, for five months and while there, CS allowed me to meet and interact with so many more people than I would have on my own. Now that I am returning to Spain, I hope to meet people in this new community and share my stories with them, and most importantly, hear their stories too.

i love all kinds of music, but some favorites include: modest mouse, arcade fire, bon iver, dr. dog, mumford & sons, classical music, sigur ros, and much more.

books: the idiot, catcher in the rye, the stranger, the unbearable lightness of being, of mice and men, the great gatsby, the moviegoer.

movies: any wes anderson movie, pan's labyrinth, the dangerous lives of altar boys, garden state, eternal sunshine of a spotless mind, documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i had the opportunity to play in the Sydney Opera house in Australia with my orchestra. It was an amazing experience, and something I'll never forget.
