I'm a 34 year old German guy whose been working as a teacher in Berlin for the last few years who needed a break. I love my job and I adore my city but it was time for a change of pace so now I am currently on a sabbatical traveling North/Central/South America with my boyfriend to see the world.

That question is pretty obvious: Because it's just so much fun! There have been times where I haven't used couchsurfing too much because of little time or quite often because my home didn't allow me to host. But whenever I did - and after all these years it's been quite a few times - it has nearly always been an enriching and positive experience! People on here are kind, interesting, fun, and I'm happy about every single one I have met thanks to the website, be it surfing or hosting.
