ABOUT ME

Always a bit tough to write about self, but, here goes. Born and brought up in India and the travel bug bit me young. Moved around a lot as a kid and have seen almost all of India. As soon as I finished high school, the world literally became my playground. Moved to Hawaii for college, interned in Fiji and then worked in San Diego. Now I am in Germany studying as a grad-student and can't wait to explore this great continent!

Besides just traveling and exploring new places I love music! I am a singer, songwriter and guitarist who is heavily influenced by Hawaiian and Surf Jam styles of music. Have recently started two bands with my buddies - one group of us does rock songs and the other is a instrumental music band that fuses Mediterranean, Western, Hawaiian and Oriental styles of music. This is especially fun for me because we get to be very creative and explore new kinds of sounds.

Love to read, hang out with friends, talk to people and movies. I can come across as an introvert or reserved initially but once I get to know someone its impossible to classify me as that. I love my friends dearly and love making new ones across the globe.

Am developing a new passion to start skydiving and scuba and as soon as my student budget allows it I am going to start up on these.

My time designing, building and developing underwater robots made me fall in love with the ocean (of course, being in Hawaii had a lot to do with it too ;)) and I dream of being able to just take a boat and sail across the oceans one day. The peace and tranquility, the wrath and power, and the beauty and age of the oceans has me smitten!

I love to cook and experiment with food! I can cook food from many places around the world and like to because this is one of the ways I relax myself. But, I also love to be pampered by having yummy delicious food fed to me! (Who doesn't eh?) And yeah, driving is the comfort food of my soul! ;)

I guess, overall, I am a person who loves to learn, explore, see new things, meet new and interesting people, finds "normal" boring, sing out his heart and just live life as much as I can!
