About Me
Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry Pratchett
Hi! I am Selen, a 24-year-old medicine student from Turkey.
I believe exploring a new country is always better if you stay with locals and see the city through their eyes.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm very interested in meeting locals and experiencing the daily life in the city I'm traveling to. I think every person is unique and there are things we can learn from everyone. So I would really like to stay with locals instead of camping/hostels. Also, I can help you find hosts around Turkey, and even host you if you come to Adana (a city in the south of Turkey)

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite music depends on my mood really, but I always love indie musics and old songs. Beatles, Nirvana, the Freedom Fries, Hozier, Beirut, Yann Tiersen, Bastille are only a few of my faves.
When it comes to books, I can't really pick a favourite! I am a huge bookworm, lately I've been into book about feminism&human history. I've mostly read all the classics, and looking forward to find new books to read. I'd love to exchange books or talk about our favourites. I have to admit that I'm a huge Harry Potter fan since childhood.
I love watching movies on a lazy day, I love romantic comedies, science fictions, dramas etc. I don't really choose when it comes to movies, I watch it anyway.
