Overview
About Me
I'm a young thirty-something with an interest in things natural - be it environments, eating, living and so on. I love learning about other cultures - especially if it involves cooking! I'm in a community choir here in Cardiff, and I work with children and young people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm heading to South East Asia for my first exploration trip in March 2015, and I thought it would be a great time to sign up to Couchsurfing, as I tend to like to mix with the locals whenever I visit somewhere, rather than end up at tourist attractions. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get a better feel for local culture this way. Also, I've never been able to afford to travel like this before and I might never again, so I want to do as much for my money as I can and a Couchsurfing host could really help me out that way.
Interests
My interests include: cooking (particularly vegetarian food), singing, culture, nature, children, disabilities, learning, trying new things. If someone could teach me to crochet - I'd love that! I also enjoy real ale and home made ginger beer.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like jazz, afro-beat, cuban, broken beat and world music. The movies I like are really varied, but I enjoy sci-fi, action, horror, and comedies. I've been watching a lot of really old movies recently as my boyfriend is into hammer horror.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I cycled from London to Paris for Alzheimer's Society charity. My mother has Alzheimer's and I felt like I had to do something. It took 4 days and was worth every penny of sponsorship money, because it was really, really difficult for me! I did it though :-)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share cooking, good conversation, humour and kindness. I can help with some chores and even play with the children.
