Hello everyone! :)

My name is Semina and I am originally from Greece. However since the last many years I have been travelling all around Europe and I have also lived in 5 more countries I consider myself as an international person.
I work as an online freelancer spanish teacher and since not long ago I just moved to beautiful island of Kythera.

So far I think my purpose in life is the continuous self-growth and I believe this comes by gaining more and different experiences in all levels of life.

I believe a lot in the power of community and that's why I have participated in different local volunteering actions such as social food markets, giving Spanish lessons to refugees in shelters, and contributing in local festivals in Greece.

Sports I am really into are hiking/ trekking 🥾 and climbing 🧗🏽‍♀️but in general I am open to any cool new challenges.

My life motos:
1. The biggest comfort is to get out of your comfort zone.
2. Live in the moment ,tomorrow is not guaranteed.

My main principles:
What I value the most in life is honesty and respect. I think If these two are missing no real relationships can be built up. I also appreciate generosity and people that are interested in contributing for the community and for making this world a better place.

One of my biggest desires is one day to visit some countries in Middle East. I am also learning arabic and a bit of farsi.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Even though my first couchsurfing experience was several years ago, i started using it more constantly the last months and i am so happy about this community! I have met really interesting people through and motivated even more fo explore this area. Even though I can't host someone at the moment because I am traveling around I am always keen on meeting up with travellers :)!

Interests

As I already mentioned my biggest passion is to travel but i also love photography, drawing, hiking, bouldering, history, yoga , theater and meeting with people. I am also interesting in learning new things and have philosophical,political meaningful talks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the experiences that have impacted me a lot is working with refugee people in camps of Greece and Italy. It really made me comprehend more things about world and made me realize that solidarity is our weapon to move forward.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very delightful , energetic and positive spirit. Also after having travelled around I have a lot of funny stories that I can share with my hosts. I also like cooking and being helpful. I don't know if I am good guest but I will definitely make your mood :)
