Dominicana with a twist!

I am sooo in love with my beautiful island and recently decided to make it a hobby to start discovering and enjoying it to the fullest, and learn how to get out there and live the backpacker experience within my own country and start making a journal of those memories (Jumps with excitement!). I work as a Spanish-English Interpreter so we can easily join forces teaching each other: your travel experience and my local knowledge.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

To meet new people with similar interests. To learn about traveling from other travelers and exchange culture from a more relaxed and personal point of view and away from the touristic part of it.

Intereses

I love to learn and discover new things and for the first time in my life I can take the time to start living a little every now and then, so I will like to get out there more often within my country at first (the adventure bug bit me!).

In my free time I like painting, going to the beach, grabbing drinks with different circles of local friends, or... Simply waking up on Sunday morning, go with the flow of the Caribbean weather, and see where Google leads me that day!

We can definitely hang out and chill while having really cool conversations about pretty much anything! Offer you assistance by chat while you are exploring on your own and have questions or doubts about something local. I can teach you Spanish, help you get around (or find out together how to lol) and offer companionship while taking an adventure trip together somewhere in the island that I've never been to, as well as to places I'd love to return. I'm not really into dancing but Latina blood is in my hips if you can convince me to get on the dance floor. I can also take you out for coffee and show you around my backyard: Our amazing Colonial Zone!

I am always open to getting out of my comfort zones and learn and exchange about anything that doesn't make me feel uncomfortable I guess. At this stage I'm a newbie local guide/host absorbing from all your stories as I go, so please, be kind and mindful and I'm sure we'll get along just fine! 4:20
