Music, Movies, and Books
My taste in music spans across cultures and emotions. I love the heartfelt lyrics of Taylor Swift, the passion of Shakira, and the vibrant rhythms of Gipsy Kings. I’m also a big fan of Chris de Burgh and especially Adele — her song "Hello" always moves me deeply. From my home country Iran, I listen to legends like Ebi and Moein, whose voices are full of nostalgia and emotion.
I enjoy adventure and mountaineering films, especially those that tell real stories of courage, challenge, and connection with nature.
In literature, I’m drawn to the timeless depth of Charles Dickens, whose powerful storytelling and social insight never cease to inspire me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most unforgettable experiences of my life was climbing Mount Damavand — Iran’s highest peak at 5,610 meters (18,406 feet) — via its majestic northeast ridge. It wasn’t just a physical challenge, but a spiritual journey. The route was steep, remote, and wild, but reaching the summit felt like touching the sky.
Damavand is more than just a mountain — it’s a symbol of pride, power, and legend in Persian culture. According to ancient mythology, this is where Arash the Archer gave his life to define Iran’s borders by launching a sacred arrow from Damavand’s peak, marking the soul of the nation. Standing at the summit, above the clouds, I felt deeply connected to this mythical land and its stories.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can share what I’ve learned from over two decades of mountaineering in Iran — from planning safe routes to the mindset needed for reaching the summit. I can also offer tips on budget travel, exploring rural areas, and connecting with nature.
Learn: I'm always open to learning about local traditions, languages, and people’s life stories. I’d also love to improve my English and discover more about cycling cultures around the world.
Share: I can share stories from my travels, mountain adventures, and the meaningful connections I’ve made on the road. I’m always happy to cook simple Iranian dishes or just exchange honest conversations about life, dreams, and the search for meaning.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share stories from my 26 years of mountaineering across Iran’s majestic peaks — from the technical challenges to the soulful moments in nature. I’m also passionate about meaningful, low-budget travel and the search for connection and purpose along the journey.
Recently, I’ve started exploring cycling with my Cannondale Trail 2 (29 inch) and I’m happy to exchange ideas about bikepacking, city cycling, and adventure planning.
I’d love to cook you a simple Iranian meal, teach you a few Persian phrases, or join you on a short hike or ride if you’re into nature and movement. I travel with a positive spirit, deep respect for my hosts, and genuine curiosity about the world and the people I meet.
