ABOUT ME

I love volunteer work. I just finished raising a puppy for Canine Compainions for Independance. Horatio was a Labrador Retriever, and is destined to be a service dog!

Another way I volunteer is as the TubaChristmas coordinator for Antioch IL. There is more about that below.

I tend to think of everything mathematically. I can tie any conversation to mathematics if given a challenge. No-one has yet stumped me! I welcome all attempts!

My huge quirk is that I prefer to go by my middle name, so if you are interested in surfing with me, you should know me as Arlona. There are way to many Katherines in the world, so this simplifies my life!

So, call me strange but I don't enjoy Music or books much. It also takes a bit of encouraging to watch a movie. Life is to exciting to sit still and be entertained. I like to do the entertaining!

I am a huge Tuba enthusiast. I coordinate the Antioch TubaChristmas concert every year, which is always fun. If you have never heard 60 Tuba/euphonium players performing Christmas music together, you should consider checking out the concert next year! It is awesome! I love to give people an opportunity to try an instrument they wouldn't otherwise try!

I am also always up for showing off a cool math concept, so if you are a student still, bring your math homework and we will clear up any sticky points!
