I live alone in the very heart of İstanbul. My purpose in becoming a host—my sole intention—is to meet people from many different countries, to experience very diverse cultures, to learn how people live, what they experience, how they make a living, what they think, what they've experienced so far, what their future plans are, how they raise their children, how education is provided in their schools, what their streets look like—I want to discover all of these. That’s why I'm eager to meet international visitors and enhance their holiday or business experience in Istanbul. I know the dining places in Istanbul very well, having lived here for 3 years. I’m especially knowledgeable about meat-based restaurants, but I also know vegan and vegetarian spots very well. I'm familiar with international cuisines too—African, Indian, Thai, etc.

ABOUT ME

My philosophy of life is very simple. Since I don't have enough money or health to travel the world continuously, I can't always be on the road. But I really want to explore the world and Turkey as much as possible, visiting different places in Turkey, various streets in Istanbul, lesser-known locations, and authentic spots—places like Nepal, lesser-known island countries, or rarely visited parts of Africa. Other than that, I deeply love working, reading, and learning. Being an academic, reading, writing, and teaching—especially teaching—are things I passionately enjoy. Apart from these, I’m a very simple person. I don't value anything more than gaining new experiences. I have no interest in wealth or possessions, nor do I care about saving money. I've been working for years, yet I don’t have a single penny saved in the bank. I’ve neither bought a house, nor a car, nor even a bicycle. All I’ve done is travel, explore, eat, drink, and meet new people.
