I am your typical jaded thirty something engineer who just realized that life being unreasonably short for not seeing many, many more places and meeting with new people.

I usually combine my travels with some sort of event/adventure which ends up more fun than just randomly traveling (which is also good by itself) such as seeing a live performance, attending to a special art event (like Venice Bienale) or to participate in various activities (learning to cook in Italy, volunteering for an archealogical dig in etc.).

To meet with new people, mainly. Haven't Couchsurfed myself yet but who knows?
