About Me
Hello there! Serena here, on papers italian and 26.
Some actually important things about me:
I am a loving, caring and cheerful being! I have endless trust in people, life, my path, and I tend to bring a positivity energy everywhere I go. I believe in kindness, acceptance, care and non-judgement.
I believe in interconnectedness over individualism. I like showing gratitude and I’m very committed to my human (and non) relationships. I love people, I do well between them, I love making community and sharing, but I also have a more introverted side, and I love spending time alone and having some personal mental space. I am extremely adaptable, spontaneous, easy-going, down-to-earth. I’m usually the most curious person in the room. I genuinely enjoy helping people whenever I can.
My main principle is living a loving life, in a loving dimension.
Some less important things about me:
I grew up in a small town in the South of Italy, spending a lot of time with my grandparents in the countryside hanging out with animals, plants and other farmers. Up until now I can't think of sweeter memories, l've probably never been as content as when I was there, covered up in earth, laying on the grass, picking up fruits from the trees, playing with dogs, ducks and donkeys. I’ve been thinking for a while now to try to restart living that way, closer to the nature, and eventually have my own farm, eco-village, animal sanctuary—it’s not defined yet. Got zero knowledge on how to practically get there, but well, that’s the dream!
I moved to Berlin in May 2019, worked as café manager until May '24, when I decided to quit and re-think my life (still on it).
I graduated in Art Studies with a focus on experimental film theory. I can talk hours about movies, books, some forms of art. I actually can talk hours in general. I believe in communication despite its utopia. It’s one of my many favorite topics!
I also love learning new languages and practicing the ones I already speak, as well as teaching—I’m a fun and patient teacher x
Why Couchsurfing?
I’m here hoping to share and connect with travellers and locals around the globe, learn more about different cultures and ways of living, get inspired, evolve thanks to this constant giving and receiving that it’s ultimately life itself.
Recently got back from a long soul trip.
I'm into a lot of things, feel free to reach out if you believe you too are a loving, compassionate and overall decent human being 🫶🏻
***currently in China until December 1st!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: post-rock, ambient, dream pop, post-punk, dark-wave, cold-wave, old italian music, experimental and much more. Periodically into different stuff. Often I don’t listen to anything at all. Currently into argentinian rock, portuguese and brazilian folk.
Books and movies: just so much it'd be hard to mention all of it. My literary culture is mostly classic with some contemporary gems and mangas, but I’ve lately started reading more essays, social literature etc.
I'm mostly into experimental films, but enjoy a lot of other things too, love anime and kdramas are my secret pleasure (yes I said it).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not sure I got much to teach, but very open to share whatever I have!
What I Can Share with Hosts
