Trying my best to keep true to my ideals without forgetting to question the world

ABOUT ME

Once a year I take my backpack and go walking for two weeks in some country of my choosing (which one depends on how I feel that year). This year will be my seventh time. Usually those have been in the Northern hemisphere. However,I have been to countries like Mali for relatively long periods of time (two months for the latter for my bachelor thesis on food prices). This was however without my loyal backpack and tent.
I moved to the Netherlands about five years ago after having spent 14 in France. Of those five years, only the last 2 have been in Amsterdam, which is plenty of time to get to a know a city though. A few words on my academic background: I am a political economist by training and specializing in the development and diffusion of renewable sources of energy on the European continent.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am currently relatively new to CS. Having heard about the good experiences most of my friends had, I decided to offer a couch myself.

Interests

I am always up for a good dinner with some wine and a discussion on people's background and experiences, politics, and so on (just don't bring up topics on cars).
