I used to be very active on Couchsurfing in 2013-2015 when I was solo traveling. Hosting, surfing and meeting people.
I had a fully remote job for 6 years which allowed me to work and travel, spending winters in warm countries. I love Asia. I've been to 58 countries in total.
When the pandemic came, I was getting tired of the digital nomad lifestyle, I wanted to settle down and get a dog, so I chose London as a global place that I wouldn't want to run away from.
So far it's worked well, but I'm getting the adventure itch again and getting back to my roots with the CS community.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Couchsurfed on a boat in New York City in February, with -5C inside the boat and only a hairdryer as a means of heating.
Went to a desolated island in the Philippines to do daily yoga with a bunch of Russians.
Spent a night on the streets of Barcelona after my newly met host went to buy drugs and never came back.
Bathed in natural hot springs in Taiwan.
Spontaneously hitchhiked to the unrecognized state of Transnistria with my couchsurfers.
Done via ferrata rock climbing on my way from Czech Republic to Germany.
Fed elephants in Thailand.
Saw a canyon, a glacier, a volcano, a black sand beach, many waterfalls and a glimpse of the Northern Lights on my road trip through Iceland.
Camped with my travel mate on an Icelandic beach in a broken rental sleeping bag, listening to the threatening sounds of the shore and the wind until waking up at 6AM to realise we have to get out of there, and nearly getting blown away while packing up the tent and rushing to the car.
