ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and studied my bachelors in Music and Opera Performance there and moved to Austin TX in 03 to complete my Masters in Music and Opera at the University of Texas at Austin. Ok That's the boring part.
Now, I've been an artist ever since I turned 21. I wanted to make films when i was younger but there were no real opportunities in Puerto Rico so music was my only option to create. I had a career as a singer for 10 years and once I was in Austin I drifted back into my old passion, film.
As of this day, I've completed two feature film and am working on my third one. I plan to follow them around the world if life allows me to.
As I've said before, I'm an artist and live like one. I have very little and have made many sacrifices to live a life that allows me to create. I am here to spread beauty. Although, my stories and my current films are well... a bit dark. I don't like happy endings in films (although I do in real life) and I like sad stories with distorted people in it. My films are art films, they are serious, drama but hey... that's what I come up with. I do have a sense of humor and love to relax and chill and laugh. I've traveled a lot and been many places throughout my life. I love strangers, I love people, a good conversation, new food, new languages. My travels have been some of the most influential part of my psyche and being.

PHILOSOPHY

I live to create. We only live once and this planet is the only one we can currently explore. Learning about other cultures, people and living to the fullest might make a difference in the planet but the only way I can make a difference is by looking on to myself and making myself a better person. I decided to be an artist and make myself a happier person and possibly make others feel the same way. I like to be inspired as much as I like to do it to others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've did it in Spain for a months some years ago (not through couchsurf) just meeting people on the road or friends of friends. I've done it in the states the same way. A good close friend of mine told me to come to this website a long time ago but I guess I just delayed it till now. Although I'm pretty comfortable doing this.

兴趣

I love music. ALL kinds of music as long as its good. I can dance salsa and love to teach it whenever someone's game for it. I grew up sailing with my father and am always willing to go sailing. Beaches are an addiction too.
I am very much into film and will watch almost every film. There is something to learn about a good film and a bad one.
I am interested in other cultures, their music, way of thinking, traditions, stories, folklore.

I'm a film buff. It's so hard to say which film is my favorite but I have a few that I can't get enough of.
I love Stanley Kubric and all of his work. He is a great inspiration to me as an artist and as a filmmaker. Of his films my favorite is 2001 A Space Odyssey and not only because of the science fiction element. There is much more to that film. John Cassavetes is also one of my favorite American filmmakers for his serious subjects and his treatment of characters. In all, I could write all day about this so I will say that I will watch any film there is out there. You can learn a lot from the great filmmakers but I've also experienced that you can learn even more from the bad ones. What not to do.
Regarding music...
I studied and performed music for most of my life. I like ALL music, as long as it GOOD music. Music is probably the strangest of art forms. I have a very broad taste in music and am very knowledgeable in music from different eras, periods and countries. There is so much music in the world and in history that you will never get through all of it.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Well... I've mentioned before. I completed two full length feature films. This is something many people fantasize about but rarely get to do since it involved a lot of money and patience and this is a personal goal that has taken me 4 years to accomplish.

I love talking about music. Especially classical music. It might sound boring here but I can make it interesting. I can talk about opera singing and maybe even give you some pointers on how to sing hehe. I've made some films and can share my experiences on how to approach filmmaking, what to do and not do or what I would do. I've traveled, learned stuff. I love jokes of any kind and once I get started with the right people I can hold my own on jokes. Don't know how to cook but will try anything once. I am really good at Hoola Hooping and can teach you how to even make professional Hoops.
