About Me

I like history, geography, photography, architecture, urbanism, entrepreneurship, politics, psychology, environment, middle age, rock'n'roll, etc.

My interests: traveling, listening to music, meeting different people and cultures, drinking beer with friends, spending weekends at the farm, reading, etc.

My personal characteristics: I am authentic, observant, humorous, I like to listen and to learn new things, I like to understand the other's pint of view.

Characteristics I do not like in people: ostentation, vanity, pride, moodiness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I look for opportunities to contact people from the places I visit. The goal is to make more humanized traveling. It's not enough to just take pictures, talk to other travelers and consume local products. I need to understand the common sense of the residents to breathe the spirit of the place.

On my last ride, during the outward journey, I had a lovely conversation with a person who lived in the city I was going to visit. During the days I was there, I felt a lot of interaction and affinity with people, mainly because I could see in them the way of thinking and acting.

Today I look for accommodations in familiar environments or with friends, because they can offer me more content, more understanding and more interior luggage.

Music, Movies, and Books

Heavy Metal, flamenco, MPB (Brazilian Popular Music), bossa nova, instrumental music, folk songs around the world, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some of the unbelievable, crazzy or stupid things I did:

1) I traveled through different countries without plans or previous information.

2) I visited Meteora (Greece) going by the wrong side of the mountains, climbing a rocky wall, side by side with the abyss, and, at the top of the rock, I saw that there was a road full of busses to transport the turists. I never felt myself so idiot! kkkkkk.

3) In Amsterdam, a badly-seen man stole my gloves ($ 5.00) and ran off. I stupidly chased him down several streets. Then I came to a dead end where there were several other thieves like him. I felt my heart freeze and I thought that I finally found the death!!!" I turned fast and ran wildly through several streets with a bunch of brutes chasing me. I don't remember how long I ran but I learned something: "to never react to an assault."

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help with sightseeing, politics, history, music, etc, but all in an amateur point of view.

I intend to make friends and to learn about culture, tourism, history, traveling tips, etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer informations about my idiom, about the places I'd visited, about the Brazilian provinces and their major cities, about Brazilian culture, about Brazilian popular music, etc.

I can host them in case they have interess to visit my city, I can practice the idioms I know and I can also introduce travelers to my friends and other people I know to increase their network.

I can assume some hosting costs such as breakfast and meals. I can (actually, I desire) share with them part of my time and participate in daily routines.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Bahamas, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay
