About Me

Curious and ready to learn

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been surfing on friend's couches and hosting foreign travellers for years...

A friend told me about CS and here I am!

Interests

Travelling, meeting people, speaking different languages and learning about other cultures than mine.

Cooking, cooking cooking! ...and then eating in a good company.

Attending festivals, concerts and performances. All kind of social art.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: R&B, rock, pop, classic, jazz, opera. I like both indie music and Galician traditional music and dance. I recently discover José González, and I love him.

Movies: Everything but terror/scary/fight films.

I'm a huge reader. Some of my favorite authors are Carson McCullers, Eduardo Galeano, Truman Capote, Julio Cortázar, Gianni Rodari, Marguerite Duras, Sandor Marai, Suso de Toro, ... I read everything, everywhere, everytime.

I love buying cooking books as a travel souvenir.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I descended a river on the Reuss valley near Luzern (Switzerland) seated on a truck wheel, surounded by mountains, pines, flowers and cows.

I saw how the Eyjafjallajökul spewed out ashes and lava, in Iceland. I also tried hákarl (rotten shark) and puffin eggs.

I dove with turtles and colorful fishes, I swam in Cenotes naturally drilled in the jungle and I burned my tongue trying chile habanero, in Mexico.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Galician cuisine and other cultural stuff from my country

I'm willing to learn about your country and culture

We can share our travelling stories and eventually a drink

What I Can Share with Hosts

Sightseeing my place with some local stories and curious facts.

Have some tapas, going to concerts or for a walk.

Good conversation and cooking ;-)
