ABOUT ME

I am fierce! I'm very passionate about active level conservation and wildlife. I have dedicated my life to it. I'm currently fulfilling a lifelong dream of immigrating to Australia in order to pursue those goals, not to mention living in the most amazing place in the world!
I love to be outside, hiking, climbing, exploring, swimming, surfing, cycling or tossing myself off of high places. I am a big music lover and attend alot of shows and festivals. I'm pretty well rounded and down to earth. I believe in respecting others as you would respect yourself. It's all about the love.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy hosting and that is mostly what I do, I have surfed once though. I hosted heaps of folks in Texas and hosted folks where I used to live in Alligator Creek, just outside of Townsville. I'm eager to show people around where I live now and go on some adventures with me! Some people send blanket requests and don't read profiles though. I find those people to be a bummer so as to make sure you are an awesome possum I have a little keyword I would like you to use when sending me a request- Always Bring A Towel- this lets me know that you at least read my profile. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly friends and friends of friends where I needed a place to crash last minute. I could sleep in a cabinet if I had too so I'm pretty easy to please. Everyone that has stayed with me has been really cool.

Interests

Reptiles, mainly rattlesnakes and monitor lizards. Psittacines and assorted poultry, oh hell, I love all birds! Hiking, cycling, spelunking, shoving marshmallows into my mouth, doing backflips, dancing, singing, mudding, hunting/guns, testing the limits of gravity, music and of course, TRAVEL!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have pretty broad musical tastes, mostly electro,industrial, house and classic rock. I really enjoy opera and classical as well. Some grunge 90's and other alternative rock, 80's new wave and some jam bands and indie rock. I am a regular concert goer and LOVE going to/working music festivals. New music is always of interest to me.

I read mostly field guides and other science related books, self empowering/self-help books, sci fi and animal-related novels. I just finished Life of Pi and must say it is a novel everyone should read. Makes you think and if you love animals it will be all the more worth the read! I'm currently reading The Third Alternative by Steven Covey. It is changing my life by changing the way I interact with people. Definitely a book that will be making my life better :).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This would take a long time to fill out. Suffice it to say I've done and seen some pretty amazing things. Traversing through Australia and Costa Rica are on the top of my list. Animals and nature never ceases to amaze me.

Teach, Learn, Share

How you can make a difference in the world we live in. Wildlife rehab and reptile care. I can go on and on about conservation and will be more than happy to show you ways to make the world a better place!

I love to learn, so anything you can teach I'll be eager to soak up!

I've lived and traveled a good portion of the U.S. and would love to take a roadtrip up to Alaska so anyone who can give me advice or tell me of their adventures that way will find me all ears!
