I'm a cosmology master student, currently living in Waterloo, with a passion for learning new languages and a willingness to try new experiences and meanwhile find new friends.

My most exciting traveling experiences:

-Trekking into the Canadian wilderness for a canoe trip on the French River with a group of then mostly strangers, but now best friends!

-Going to Italy and stay up all night chatting with Argentinian people learning about their language, culture, dances, basically everything. One of them later visited Iran and stayed at my place for two weeks, and I showed him many of Iran's best places!

-Visiting India at age 18 and meeting new amazing people with whom we're still friends.

My research in cosmology involves using the most up-to-date images of galaxies to explore the mysteries of the Universe's expansion rate and Dark Energy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

On this trip, I am traveling with Sara and Dorsa to Montreal and Ottawa. This way with Couchsurfing, we can get to know one another and hear each other's stories! But don't worry if you're not into talking much, we can also just have a cup of tea/coffee, stay at each other's places, and pay it forward!

Under good sky conditions, I can show you around the sky, galaxies, and tell you their stories (real ones not the astrological ones!)

We can teach you some Farsi words and Persian card games!
