I am passionate about languages and literature. And there is another side of me as well: I absolutely love surfing and traveling. Incompatible? I say not. Good literature conversations plus good food and beautiful smiles and I have a winning combination. Another winning combination is an amazing surfing session with good people, good stories and excellent food. I travel to seek both. Specifically, I travel to meet people, to make friends, to learn languages, cultures and to listen stories. I enjoy a good story told with passion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travelled around Europe for the first time in April 2014 with my girlfriend Charlotte and a beat-up Volkswagen camper van. There were times when we both wanted to stay in city centers but could not afford the hourly rates of parking in such places. Thanks to couchsurfing, we managed to get in touch with locals who were kind and friendly enough to lend us a hand with parking spaces and warm smiles.

After this experience, for me at least, there is no other way of traveling but with couchsurfing and friendly locals.
